Leaving cert H maths 2022 Choice of questions for 1st time since 2010 Excluding 2021 .

Students taking H Maths in the Leaving cert in June 2022 will have a choice of questions as follows

Section A 6 x 30 mark questions attempt 4, Section B 4 x 50 mark questions attempt 2 .Time allowed 150 minutes. Total marks 220.

If you attempt more than 4 questions in Section A .The marks for your best 4 will be counted, similarly best 2 from Section . B will be counted.. You will have plenty of time, based on the original exam where there was 2 marks per minute . students at that rate could complete the exam in 110minutes .Leaving 40 minutes to check your work or do extra questions.

Can I leave out any topics?

Paper 1:It is possible to leave out Financial Maths .Concentrate on Algebra, Complex Numbers and functions and calculus.

Paper 2 : It is possible to leave out geometry theorems and constructions , concentrate on The Line, The Circle, Probability (Bernoulli) and Statistics and Trigonometry. Students hoping to get a H5 or H6 could possibly leave out Inferential Statistics.

Bernoulli trials are examined every year often in Section A and Section B.
