Leaving cert 2018 H Maths Paper 2 observations

LH Paper 2 2018

Question 1:Too much English !Students had to read a paragraph of 60 words before finding what they were being asked!

Probability and statistics were worth 75 marks in section A. Trigonometry, the Line, geometry worth 25 marks each.

Section B

Question 7 (50 marks) Was more awkward than difficult with b(ii)based on series (give us a break).

Question 8(60marks)Mainly inferential statistics , included was a financial maths question which involved a geometric series!

Question 9(40 marks )An overly complicated question on trigonometry
